AnnaLynne McCord is quickly becoming one ofHollywood’s hottest young actresses. The 21-year-old Southerner has a resume that includes roles on such popular series asNip/Tuck, Ugly Betty, The O.C., Cold Case,CSI: Miami and Greek. Currently starring as Naomi Clark in The CW’s edgy, contemporary drama 90210, the model-turned actress is excited to have a new love interest on the horizon for her more nasty than nice character.

At a party for the cast that was held at the Kokomo Café in West Hollywood, which doubles as the show’s Peach Pit, AnnaLynne told MediaBlvd Magazine about how her life has changed since moving into television’s most popular zip code.

MediaBlvd Magazine: What’s coming up on the show? What are you looking forward to?

AnnaLynne McCord: Naomi has a new man in her life. Matt Lanter is the actor, and he’s a darling. They’re calling him the new Dylan McKay. He’s the bad boy. He gets into trouble and takes Naomi along for the ride. And, Naomi is such a strong character that she’s got to have someone who can compete with her strength. He definitely gives her a run for her money, but she loves the challenge, and it’s a lot of fun.

MediaBlvd: How is life different for you, since the show started airing?

AnneLynne: It’s been crazy! It’s been a whirlwind. It’s finally sunk in that we’re definitely on a show, and that it’s a hit. We were nominated for the People’s Choice Awards. We didn’t win, but we were nominated, which is huge to me. That was really exciting! I got to present. It’s just a world of difference. It’s what I’ve dreamed about since I was a little girl, so it’s nice to finally have it happen.

MediaBlvd: Can you go anywhere without being mobbed?

AnnaLynne: No, I can’t!

MediaBlvd: What is that like?

AnnaLynne: I wear wigs and I wear caps, but it doesn’t work. I was in Miami and they were like, “Oh, AnnaLynne changed her hair color!” I was like, “No, it’s a wig!” But, it’s fun. It’s what we all work towards, even though we’re sometimes like, “Oh, this is what we got ourselves into!” It’s cool.

MediaBlvd: Before the show started, you said that you almost didn’t take the role. Are you glad now that you did it?

AnnaLynne: I’m so very happy that I did it! It’s really good.

MediaBlvd: Now that you’re a good portion of the way into the season, do you try to give any input into the development of your character?

AnnaLynne: I’ve done that, from day one. I’m known as the opinionated one. I am the one who is like, “No, Naomi wouldn’t do that!” I care very much. It’s a huge cast, so you have to fight for your character. There are a lot of shows where you’ll watch a character and be like, “What just happened?” I make very clear that I like Naomi to stay true to who I was sold that she was, so I fight for her, big time.

MediaBlvd: Naomi is very fashionable. How much input do you have into her wardrobe?

AnnaLynne: None, whatsoever, actually. They have a pallette of clothes and colors. I don’t really get to put too much into Naomi’s wardrobe, but I get to borrow anything I want, so that’s really cool.

MediaBlvd: What is your favorite thing that you’ve borrowed?

AnnaLynne: My favorite thing was not even from Naomi’s closet. It was from Lori Loughlin’s closet, and I wore it to the Do Something Awards for teens who are doing something in their communities. It was a pair of Joker-esque slacks and a blazer, but I ended up just wearing a Mason bustier instead of the blazer. It was pretty hot!

MediaBlvd: Have you had any red carpet disaster moments?

AnnaLynne: I love my outfits! I spend a lot of time and I really try to make a big difference in my looks, so that I keep a variation. But, I have had a couple nipple slips. I don’t remember when, but it was early on and my sister said, “Can you use double-stick tape next time?” So, double-stick tape is always in my pocket, from then on.

MediaBlvd: What are you doing for the environment these days?

AnnaLynne: There is a wonderful restaurant that I frequent, across from Sony Studios, down in Culver City, called Skratch. It’s completely green. They have healthy sandwiches. They’re really great! All the by-products are bio-degradable. They recycle everything and they use recycled paper. I love that restaurant, and I love supporting it.

MediaBlvd: Will you return to Nip/Tuck at all?

AnnaLynne: I am coming back for two more episodes — the third episode and the eighth episode.
